SEND THE TEMPLATE: GET DOZENS OF STORIES

2. we invite you now to send the template we used during the webinar to all the projects you have contact with, so as to gather dozens or hundreds of stories if you extend it to the past 30 years of Interreg activity :)

• in order to ease the work for you we created a short email draft so as to directly adapt it and send it to your projects:

  *Dear project, for the last 3 years, the Interreg community has shown its strength at the top annual event in Brussels - the European Week of the Regions and cities - and our programme has been invited to present projects this year again.

  But there is something new: this year, in October 2020, we will celebrate in Brussels the 30 years of Interreg - and our projects will be the focus of attention.

  This is why a special kind of event is taking place there: the Project SLAM. Instead of a traditional presentation - projects who win an invitation in Brussels - will perform on stage, during 6 minutes, in front of more than 200 people, among which the top politicians of the EU.

  How does it work? Each programme in Europe will submit project stories - and 30 of them will be shortlisted. We expect more than 100 projects to send their application and we hope that our programme will be proudly represented.

  The first step is to apply. And for that we need you to fill in a 30 minutes templates that guides you to tell your story, in less than 3 minutes.

  As we could discover during the application webinar - it is very intuitive to use, and once you have filled in the template, you will receive your story by email. If you feel satisfied by it (you might need to tweak it a little), you just have to send it back to us - and we will pick our best projects for the final application.

  The deadline for submission is the 25th of April 2020, and what we need from you is to fill in the template, receive the email confirmation and send us back your story once you have adapted it to your best formulation. All in all it will take you less than an hour.

  And with it a possible chance to be selected for

  • a video competition on social media (last year more than 100.000 people voted for the best projects)
  • a chance to be invited, all included, in Brussels in October 2020

  So please, while we know it is a hard time for everyone, we also know that you might have one hour to spare to raise our flag high and join us in this adventure. We expect your story before the 22.04.2020 so we can take the last 48 hours to submit them to the competition.

EVALUATE STORIES FAST, REAL FAST

3. From this mass of great projects, you will certainly find dozens of stories to tell. And to make sure you pick up the best ones, we propose you to run them through the evaluation grid.

• our estimate is that it will take you about 4 minutes to read a story and 1 minute to evaluate it. If you adopt an "industrial" approach to it, you might be able to cover about 10 stories per hour - or 50 in 5 hours. All the stories you feel deserve to be sent can be sent easily afterwards.

• In any case, you now seat on dozens of great project stories for all your communication needs, and we might publish additional training content to turn these into press releases, website page or other communication tools that are not directly related to the SLAM.

4. if your projects are selected, we will announce you how to produce a video out of them - so as to join the shortlist of 30 best European projects - enter the video competition and win a chance to join us in Brussels in October 2020.
